Frequently Asked Questions

1. Where are you located and do you ship the costume to my state? We are located in Ohio and we ship nationwide to all 48 continental U.S. States.

2. Do you ship outside the United States? Sorry, we do not ship outside the U.S. due to customs and very long shipping times.  Alaska and Hawaii due to very long shipping times.

3. Do your costumes look like the ones on the website? Yes! We are very picky about the quality of our costumes. We have the best looking costumes in the industry. You will be very pleased with the costume you rent from us.

4. When can I expect to receive the costume? We guarantee the costume to arrive one to two days before your party date. If we are able to ship the costume out early we will but cannot guarantee early shipment.

5. How do we ship the costume back? You need to put the costume back in the same box the costume came in unless the box is completely damaged. The customer (you) will pay shipping back to Rent a Character. Ship the package back via a traceable shipping method: UPS, FedEx Ground, U.S. Postal Service priority mail with delivery confirmation to ensure that your items have been received. We will not be held responsible
if we cannot verify receipt of the return.

6. Can I use my own shipping account? Yes! If you have a shipping account you are welcome to use your shipping carrier.  We ask that you supply us your acct # and be sure when shipping back that you insure the costume(s) with the carrier for $300.00.

7. What size will the costume fit? Most of our costumes are made to fit an average adult between 5'4" - 5'10" some up to 6'. That does not mean that someone 5'2" cannot wear the costume it would just be a little longer on them.

8. Do we need to clean the costumes? No! Rent a Character cleans each and every costume when they come back from a rental. We use special process to clean the bodies and the heads of the costumes.

9. Can we use a debit card?  Yes! You can use a debit card.

10. When will my card be Charged? We charge a Deposit to hold the costume once a signed rental agreement is received in our office (due within 3 business days). The balance is charged the Monday of the week we ship out the costume.

11. What is your cancellation policy? Your costume is held for you on your date and no refunds will be issued. Should any problem arise to cause postponement of the rental, it can be re-scheduled for another date suitable to both parties involved within 60 days.

12. Do you give a discount if we rent more than one costume? Yes! See our "Specials" link in the main menu on any page.
